Built in 1903, the stunning private home of George and Sarah Joslyn is open for group tours. The Joslyn Castle is a premier historic landmark located in Omaha’s Gold Coast in the heart of midtown. The Scottish Baronial style mansion was designed by John McDonald, one of Omaha’s most prominent architects in the early 1900s. The Castle was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, and designated a local landmark in 1979.

PLUS Tour information
We offer Tours on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays with start times at 3:00pm, 3:30pm, or 4:00pm; and Saturdays with a start time of 10:00am
We allot 3 hours for Charter Tours PLUS
- 15 minutes – arrival
- 60 minutes – docent-led tour (3 levels of the mansion)
- 60 minutes – dining
- 30 minutes – entertainment
- 15 minutes – departure
All requested days and times are subject to availability.
Tours must be scheduled at least 30 days in advance.
We do not provide, nor schedule the catering and entertainment.
A list of allowed caterers and entertainment options will be provided for you to organize.
You are not allowed to bring in your own food. The Castle kitchen is not available.
If you wish to include alcohol, you will be required to contract a security guard.
A list of preferred security companies will be provided to you to organize.
Pricing
· Programming Fee: $250.00
o The Programming Fee is NONREFUNDABLE.
· Admission Charge: $17.00 per guest (Guides and drivers will be admitted for free.)
o A final count will occur when guests arrive.
· Facility Use Fee: 20% of Programming Fee and total Admission Charges
o A separate invoice for the Admission Charge and Facility Use Fee will be sent within days after the tour.
Invoicing and Payments
o By submitting a payment, you agree to the terms laid out in this document.
o All invoicing and payments are made through bill.com .
o An electronic invoice will be emailed through bill.com. It can be paid online with a bank routing number, credit or debit card.
Upon receipt of the Payment, a secure hold for the date and time of the Private Tour will be added to our master calendar.
At any time before the payment is received, the preferred tour day and time may become unavailable.
Your tour is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation message from us.
Tour guests can disembark the bus on Davenport Street. Designated bus parking is available on 40th Street. The Castle is equipped with a lift assist on the North side and an elevator inside.
Joslyn Castle and Gardens reserves the right to cancel a confirmed tour for any reason.
If WE cancel the tour, all charges will be reimbursed.
